The reunion was held on the 20th anniversary of the 80 of us in the 132nd Entry of RAF Apprentices passing out from RAF Halton at the Hannover International Hotel at the M69/A5 junction. For more information and images please go to the 132nd Entry Website. Bob Simmons has done a great job with it. I brought along a digital camera from work and took photos of everyone who turned up (hopefully), including the wives. All together 38 turned up, mostly from classes 1, 2 and 3. It had been such a long time I am still not sure who some of them were! A lot of people said I was the least changed. Ted Peacock must be one of the most changed - I couldn't recogise him even after being told who he was! Lots of people were still in and a surprising number were crew-chiefs like myself! A good selection of Wing Commanders as well, a clergyman, an artist, a station fire officer and a whole selection of strange and seemingly unconnected engineering jobs. Despite the early distraction of England getting into the World Cup Finals the day was a great success. I was drunk enough by dinner time to break Maryan's most valuable necklace.

After a rather poor buffet dinner most people joined in the casino evening Bob had laid on. Maryan managed a small win with a few chips Steve Elson and Neil Williamson gave her, before losing them all. Bryan Evans took the prize for the most money won. Luckily he had his wife with him to help him drink it!
